I'm baaaack!!
There is so much to write about, but I'm not about to cover all of it right now. Here's a peek at our wedding day.
The wedding was perfect, and it all worked out like everyone said it would. The day went by incredibly fast just like everyone said it would. I was SO nervous beforehand, and I don't even know why, but it was fine.
I cried when we gave our Thank-You's at the reception. Art cried during the ceremony AND during the reception. (I have never seen Art cry before).
I was too nervous/excited/squished into my dress to eat most of my meal. I predicted that one though, so I made sure I had a few bites of everything. I felt a little bad that every plate of mine went back almost full. Including the dessert. But everyone knows that brides don't eat a lot at the wedding, right?
Nothing started on time, just like everyone said it would. (or wouldn't). I made sure to take time and mingle during dinner, even if it pushed everything back. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten the chance to see people, and then what's the point of having them there?
Dancing was tons of fun, even if not a lot of people danced. I found out just how difficult is to dance in a wedding dress. I also found out how difficult it is to go to the bathroom while wearing a wedding dress. That's what bridesmaids are for. ;)
Art and I found out how awkward the First Dance is. Nobody ever talks about that. But it is awkward. There's just the two of you on that big dance floor, and everybody is watching you, and suddenly the song you picked seems really long, and you don't know where to look or what to say or how much to kiss, and you hope you don't stumble or step on each other's toes.... It wasn't awful, but it was a bit awkward.
I'm trying to pick a favorite part of the day, but I can't. I have a few favorites.
1. I was the first one up in our house that morning. That makes me happy, though I don't know why. It wasn't incredibly early either. But I had a couple of minutes to myself, being the only one awake. It was nice.
2. Me and my best friend and bridesmaid from Edmonton spent about an hour after breakfast tearing rose petals off of roses for the aisle, and for the flower girl. It was fun. Again, I don't know why. But I remember being incredibly relaxed, and I was very glad for that.
3. Walking into the church half an hour before the ceremony, and I didn't want anyone to see me, so my bridesmaids literally made everyone close their eyes/hide their faces. It was funny. Bridesmaids are the best.
4. My dad seeing me all dolled up for the first time, but my little niece was also in the room (all dolled up) so he went straight to her instead. I was upstaged by a baby. A very cute baby. It was funny.
5. Hearing from my dad that Art was just as nervous as I was.
6. Hearing from people that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to, and how many of them loved our vows, and how much our wedding reflected our personalities. I really didn't expect people to say that, and it didn't really matter if they didn't, because it was the wedding we wanted, so we were happy. But the fact that everybody else really loved it makes it that much better.
7. Seeing my cousins go nuts on the dance floor. They were the life of the party. Thank you Justin and Caleb and Melanie!
8. After the dancing was over, my youth pastors and a bunch of other people who were there at the very end surrounded Art and me, and they prayed for us. That meant a lot.
Well, this blog ended up not being the quick recap that I thought it was going to be. I haven't even talked about the honeymoon yet! That will happen very soon, I promise. And there are pictures, but you'll have to be patient a little while longer.
Art is back at work today, like a good husband. So I should start cleaning, like a good wife. (Good thing I actually like cleaning!)

Soon and Very Soon
In 24 hours I will be Mrs. Jenene Morgan.
This past week has been a lot of fun, spending time with my fiance, my best friend from Edmonton, and Art's family (who just arrived yesterday).
Lots of people have been so incredibly helpful. Being a bride is fun. Stressful, but also fun. I've been pampered and fussed over, and it's so wonderful, I almost feel guilty! But not quite.
I still kind of can't believe that my wedding is tomorrow. I'm hoping the reality hits me before I walk down the aisle. I don't want to float through the whole day with a sense of surrealism. I'm praying that I will be able to relax, have fun, and actually remember parts of it.
Do all brides feel this way? I've heard of nerves and cold feet, and I'm not experiencing either of those (although I do have little butterflies in my stomach right now). But I've never heard of brides feeling like, "Wow. My wedding day is tomorrow. It hardly seems real."
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but perhaps most brides don't remember that part, having been married for a while now.
I won't be on here for a while (as you can well imagine and understand) but don't forget about me. In a little more than a week, I'll be back, blogging from my new home with my new husband in a different country. I'm so excited/lucky/blessed!
See you after the honeymoon!
P.S. It's supposed to rain tomorrow! :)

How To Freak Out Less Than A Week Before Your Wedding
Step 1: Heave a sigh of relief when the plumber arrives. Hope that you get to use the toilet by the end of the day.
Step 2: Gasp in horror as he opens the laundry room door and you see water ALL OVER the floor!
Step 3: Try to grasp what he's saying about the fact that you don't have toilet problems; you have bigger plumbing problems.
Step 4: Realize how much you take water for granted when he tells you not to use any water until he's done.
Step 5: Hope he's done today.
Step 6: Try to put it out of your mind as you continue eating breakfast with your fiance.

How To Freak Out One Week Before Your Wedding
Step 1: Finish the last item on your To-Do list and rejoice! You can finally relax!
Step 2: Reward yourself by taking a much-needed bathroom break.
Step 3: Become annoyed when your toilet doesn't flush properly. Again.
Step 4: Hunt down the icky plunger and carry it gingerly (using only the tips of two fingernails) to your bathroom.
Step 5: Plunge that toilet as best you know how (is "plunge" a verb in this case?)
Step 6: Sigh in disappointment and greater annoyance that your toilet still doesn't flush completely.
Step 7: Plunge it some more, and then leave it for a while.
Step 8: Come back an hour later, and start to get really ticked off when it STILL doesn't flush.
Step 9: Repeat steps 7 and 8 many times throughout the evening.
Step 10: Have a series of realizations:
a) That your dad will be away for the ENTIRE evening.
b) That the best plumber in town is quite ill right now.
c) That you're quite selfish in worrying about your toilet while the plumber and his family are actually dealing with something serious.
d) That your fiance will be arriving tomorrow, your best friend and bridesmaid will be arriving on Wednesday, and your fiance's family will be arriving on Thursday.
Step 11: Give up and have a bowl of ice cream (with strawberry sauce and chocolate sauce)
Step 12: Take a picture of your poor, ailing commode (complete with icky plunger) and blog about it.

No Offense, 1 Cor. 13, But THIS Is Love:
Nothing says "I love you" quite like taking a plunger to someone else's toilet, first thing in the morning.
AFTER it's been used.
Thanks dad. I love you too.
