M.I.A.?

So.........I've been absent for a while. I have an excuse for the past few days, but not the whole month. I haven't been that busy. In fact, I had hoped for a very non-busy, relaxing weekend this last weekend, and boy, did I get it! I practically spent both days almost entirely on the couch.

Not for being lazy. Rather, because I finally caught the cold. Yeah, it's a trend these days. People in Hollywood get married, get divorced, get pregnant, get arrested, and get pestered by paparazzi all in one short space of time. Up here, we normal folks just get sick.

I'm normally a pretty healthy person; if I get a cold, it's only once a year. And they're never bad either. Usually the first day is the worst. That's when I have my fever. But this time the fever (and all the yucky feelings that go along with it) seems to be hanging on. I even stayed home from work yesterday!

On Tuesday, I tried nearly all day to tough it out, vacillating back and forth about whether or not I was really sick enough to go home. But they actually have a great policy at work: if you're sick, go home so that you a) get better, and b) don't spread it around. I think that's pretty fair. So I called it quits and went home. I've been sleeping pretty good at night, but I haven't quite been able to kick this thing.

However, I did discover something very pleasant at dinner a couple of days ago: spicy food really clears the head!

Anyway.

Though I nursed the beginning stages of my cold on Saturday and Sunday, I wasn't completely unproductive. I managed to accomplish this in about half an hour.

Is it crazy that I love cleaning? I mean, like anything else, sometimes I procrastinate for way too long, but once I get started, I'm pretty motivated. I get such a satisfaction out of creating order to what was formerly disorganized.

And yes, I will come over to your house if you need some organizing done! But you better be there running the show. I'll help. I won't do it for you. I'm not that nice. ;)
