Quick story, because we're blowing this popsicle stand in about half an hour (and I am so not even close to being ready, but whatever).
I had a conversation with Sozan last night. The conversation went something like this:
"So, Sozan, when Art and I get our income tax returns, we're going to save almost all of it, but I decided to splurge on a haircut. How do you think I should cut my hair?"
"I like your hair long, actually. I don't think you should cut it. You should grow it out and experiment with styling it."
"Yeah, people have been saying that, but these two inches on the bottom are driving me nuts. They feel all frizzy, and I really want to get rid of them."
"Would you let me cut your hair?"
"No offense, Sozan, but I believe in professional haircuts, and I don't mind paying for it."
*She gets this look on her face.*
"Oh no. You really want to cut my hair, don't you?"
"Jenene, you shouldn't have asked!" *starts laughing*
*I didn't ask!!!*
Want to know the end?
She cut my hair. I got a haircut yesterday, by my friend, who by the way, is NOT a professional.
She trimmed off a little more than half an inch, and you know what? It's even, and it looks good! You can hardly tell the difference, but I can FEEL the difference. Even a little trim is so helpful. And it was free!
I might still get a haircut, because I will hopefully be looking for a job soon, but this will tide me over for a while.
I'll be away for most of the afternoon, but I'll be home this evening, and I WILL put up the pictures from yesterday if it kills me! Well, not quite. But I took lots of pictures, and I think they look great, so I can't wait to show the world!
